The Library
Our library is a cozy place to relax and enjoy the day. There is a collection of books and games you can choose from, as well as complimentary snacks and beverages.
 

Our Veranda
Take some time out of your day to settle in on our Veranda.  It's a great spot to catch some fresh air, view the scenery and take in some sunshine.

Gathering Room:
Our gathering room is a great place to meet with friends before going out on some daily activities and to socialize with other house guests while enjoying a glass of wine.   Note:  The Brightwood Inn purchases a full Liquor License from the State of Illinois and The County Of La Salle each year. We also have Liquor Liability Insurance and carry a stocked bar.  Therefore, we ask you kindly and with great respect to refrain from bringing your own alcohol into our gathering room and dining room.  You are welcome to enjoy your own alcohol in your room, the library, and on the porch.  We thank you for your cooperation.

Herb Garden:
Feel free to scratch & sniff the various type of herbs.  The garden also includes flowers and
heirloom tomatoes.  Red Zebra, Black Krim and Lemon Boy are a few of our favorites.  During the summer the contents of the garden are used in the kitchen to flavor and season the food while the flowers are used to garnish your breakfast and dinner.

Dining Room:
Breakfast, Dinner and Sunday Brunch are served here.  The big bay windows overlook the herb garden and several bird feeders.  Watching the humming birds zoom around in summer is particularly amusing.
